1. slow,behindhand,Iaggard,late慢的，落后的，遲緩的，遲的。
△Rom. 2. 6. 15:“Too swift arrives as tardy astoo slow.” i. e. Those who are too swift are as late toreach the goal as those who are too slow. The morehaste,the less speed. 太快和太慢，其結(jié)果是一樣的遲緩。(即：欲速則不達(dá)。)
△2H. IV. 4. 3. 31 (28):“These tardytricks of yours will,on my life. / One time or otherbreak some gallows’ back.”i. e. will get you hanged.(His weight would break down the gallows like ahorse’s back. ) 你這種拖延的把戲，我敢說(shuō)，早晚會(huì)讓你把絞架壓垮的。
