【辨異】cancel與delete和erase都可表示“去掉”的意思。cancel是以蓋戳或劃線等辦法注明,如:~a word/a stamp(刪去一個字/給郵票蓋戳);delete(刪去)指在書寫或印刷的文字上作記號把字刪除,如:delete part of a line(勾去一行中的一部分);erase(擦去)指用橡皮等擦去,如:erase a capital letter(擦去一個大寫字母)。
