1. still begging,very poor,needy還在求乞的，很窮的，貧困的。
△H.Ⅷ. 2.3.82: “I have been begging sixteenyears in court,/ Am yet a courtier beggarly，”我在宮里求乞已經(jīng)十六年了，現(xiàn)在還是個(gè)宮里的叫花子。
2. extremely poor and mean貧乏可憐的。
△Rom.5.1.45:“A beggarly account of empty boxes，”數(shù)量貧乏可憐的幾只空盒子。
3. like a beggar’s (thanks),i.e. effusively grateful,fulsome像乞丐的（感謝）那樣，千恩萬(wàn)謝的，過(guò)分的。
