2. disgrace,insult恥辱，侮辱。
△Mid.5.1.139(137):“By moonshine did these lovers think no scorn / Tomeet at Ninus' tomb.”在月光下這對(duì)情人并不覺得羞恥，要到尼納斯的墳頭相會(huì)。
take foul scorn: regard it as shameful insult,considerit humiliating 把…看做可恥的侮辱，認(rèn) 為 …是屈辱。
△1H.VI.4.4.34: “I owe him little duty,and lesslove。/ And take foul scorn to fawn on him by sending.”我既不欠他責(zé)任，更不欠他人情，我認(rèn)為派兵去巴結(jié)他是對(duì)我自己的海辱。
3. mockery. derision 嘲笑，嘲弄。
△H.V.1.2.287:“And some are yet ungotten and unborn / That shallhave cause to curse the Dauphin's scorn.”有些現(xiàn)在還沒有成胎、還沒有出生的人將來(lái)一定也有理由咒罵太子的這一番嘲弄。
4. derisive utterance笑話。

5. object of contempt鄙視對(duì)象。
△Ham.3.2.26 (22):“to show virtue her feature,scorn her own image，”給美德顯示她的本相，讓丑惡看看她的原形。
