Midas:(Gr. myth.) i. e. king of Phrygia,who desiredto turn everything he touched to gold. The requestwas granted by Bacchus. But in the end even the food he touched became gold. So he implored the god ofwine to take favour back. 邁達斯，弗里吉亞國王，渴望點物成金，酒神巴克科斯賜他點金之術；結果，連他的食物也變成金子，最后他只有求酒神把這一恩賜收回。
