2. society of others,company of other people: placeof resort 與他人的交往，與他人做伴；常去之地。
△Ham. 4.1.18:“Should have kept short,restrained,and out ofhaunt / This mad young man；”早就該把這個瘋狂的年輕人嚴加管制約束，不讓他到處亂走。
3. public resort,socie ty of men 公共場所，眾人的群集。
△H. V.1.1.58: “Any sequestration / From openhaunts and popularity.”從公共熱鬧場所、從下等人窩里退出來。
