【注意】ago與since語(yǔ)義不同，因此用法也不同。ago是從現(xiàn)在往過(guò)去計(jì)數(shù)，指過(guò)去的某個(gè)時(shí)間，因此要用過(guò)去時(shí)，如：It was ten years ago that I saw my brother.(我是10年前見到我兄弟的。)since是從過(guò)去某時(shí)往現(xiàn)在計(jì)數(shù)，指現(xiàn)在的事實(shí)，因此要用現(xiàn)在時(shí)態(tài)，且因since本身即連詞，不可再接that了，如：It is (has been) ten years since I saw my brother.(即：I saw my brother ten years ago.)(自從我見到我兄弟以來(lái)已有10年了。)

【辨異】 ago指從現(xiàn)在起若干時(shí)間以前;before則指從過(guò)去某時(shí)起若干時(shí)間以前。如：He told you two days ago.He said he had told you two days before.此外，before還可泛指到目前為止從前的整個(gè)情況，如：He has never told you before.He told you before.
