2. manly characteristics or qualities,as honour,hon-esty,courage,fortitude,etc.:manliness 男子漢特征或品質(zhì)(榮譽(yù)、誠(chéng)實(shí)、勇氣、剛毅等)；男子氣概。
△H.V.3.2.53(48): “which makes much against my manhood，” i.e.which goes much against my honesty and courage as aman. 這可太不符合我的男子漢氣概。
