由鳥(niǎo)類表皮角質(zhì)化而成的一種結(jié)構(gòu)。著生于鳥(niǎo)體一定的羽域內(nèi)。羽域之間被裸域相隔。羽中的羽絨起保溫作用，廓羽著生于鳥(niǎo)類兩翼和尾部，有飛翔的功能。正羽有羽軸，其兩側(cè)的羽小枝相互鉤結(jié)，組成羽瓣。羽有一定色彩，一部分由于色素，一部分由于光線反射及衍射所致。多數(shù)鳥(niǎo)類每年至少換羽一次。
